Neglected Gardens
These are the jobs where growth has built up, structure has been lost, and the space no longer works the way it should. Borders Task Busters specialises in cutting back, clearing, and resetting overgrown gardens, bringing them back under control and creating a solid starting point for maintenance or improvement.

Neglected gardens are rarely just messy, they’re usually the result of years of growth, changing use, limited time, or previous work that’s stopped working. By the time we’re called in, access is often poor, beds are overgrown, grass areas are unusable, and structure has been lost.
Borders Task Busters specialises in bringing these spaces back under control through thorough cut-backs, clearance, and practical resets. Our work typically involves heavy strimming, removing dense growth, clearing problem areas, restoring basic layout, and re-establishing access so the garden can be used again.
The aim isn’t perfection, but to create a clean, manageable starting point that makes sense for the property and how it’s actually used.
Every neglected garden is different. Some need extensive clearance before any improvement can happen, others need structure reinstated so ongoing maintenance is possible. We assess each site properly, deal with what’s really there, and carry out the work in a way that’s realistic, safe, and effective, without underestimating the scale of the job or cutting corners.
Once a garden has been reset, it can be maintained properly, improved over time, or adapted to reduce future workload. Our role is to take a space that’s fallen behind and put it back into a condition where it works again.
